Yeah but.. See, that large text is really, REALLY annoying as is the that ******* huge-*** poster that he decided to shove at us.
If you want to tell us something, you should do it subtly and, like, actually explain things in a regular conversational way and also preferably only if someone asks.

Therefore, it is spam.
..And it doesn't matter if it is a joke; It's still unwanted which is basically what makes something spam.

Not that the mods or group owner seem to care.

TECHNICALLY, if I sent my friend an email asking him where he's been for the past few days, and he didn't want that--despite it being a friendly, normal email, it would be spam. Please use a definition that more specifically includes this post, and not the overgeneralized definition that makes many good intentioned emails illegal.

I was hoping people would understand what I meant.

And.. uh.. that doesn't make those emails "illegal".
Spam is just a slang word.

Also, because of my autism, I'm not good at picking words, so you have to use discretion when reading my posts.. in fact, if you don't, I'll likely get pissed off because even though I know why you're wrong, it takes some effort for me to reply and I'm frustrated because I tried harder than most would to come up with those words.

Spam is actually the word most would use, I just don't like it. It groups attempts of humor with scams and malicious behavior. But, most would consider it a good word choice.

BTW: By United States Law, spam, defined as any unsolicited (or something close) email, is illegal. It's not very well enforced (has one person even been arrested?), but it's there, and it SHOULD change how we view the word spam, I believe.

BTW, also: If I posted a thread on Excel Saga, and had a picture, but didn't talk about it, if people started talking about it, the thread wouldn't be spam. If people talking about it being spam, then it would be spam. Should we define things based on reaction or intent? I'm pretty sure the OP thought people would say "awesome show", and not "SPAM!" But, most would agree, that's the right word to use.
